I find myself rereading this book again and again, discovering new little details every time. We are in the middle of restoring a 1969 Scotty Hilander, and this book is a valuable addition to the online resources available. What is most interesting to me are the specs and photos given in the original advertisements and flyers - what features were standard, what were options, weights & measurements, etc... We have "discovered" things about our camper through this book that we would not have known otherwise. This is not a "how to decorate your camper" book, or even how to rebuild one - it is a reference book for those people who own or want to own Scottys and are interested in the history of the company, the Serro Scotty lifestyle, and specifications of every model available. It will be part of my permanent reference library.I am a Little disappointed in this book. Our first RV in 1967 was a 16' Serro Scotty HiLander which is why we were attracted to this book. Most of the book is made up of advertisements and newspaper articles about the Serro Scotty company very little written by the author about the RV's.. For instance their is a one line mention of the fact that the company dropped the "specs" (sic) for the interior finish. Their could have been an explanation of what the "specs" were, how they were applied and perhaps some anecdotes from owners like us about how we remember them. However it does provide us with a way to show folks how we got involved in this way of traveling.Since we own one of these little guys this book is very meaningful to us. A lot of it seems to cover the history and the special camping area, Scottyland, USA which we have visited. We also have a Scottish Terrier so what other camper could we possibly be interested in? NONE. We've also met or met on Facebook several of the people and their campers who were featured in the book so that's extra important for us.As others stated a collection of old ads and brochures, but a cool collection of old ads and brochures!Great pictures and informationI have a vintage scotty so this was great to haveWonderful book, great photos and ads, well captioned, author did a good job, looking forward to the next in the series.Husband loves this.
