I love this bag. I needed a bigger gym bag, and although the measurements were slightly larger than my previous bag (not a Vera Bradley), this one fits so much more with room to spare. I think due to its rectangular shape it just fits more stuff. It’s very light weight as well. I love all the side pockets. I’m so glad I bought it.The medium in this bag means it holds enough for a weekend trip. Nice to have if that's all you're doing but consider something bigger for a week or longer. There's netting inside that is good for holding socks and underwear and keeping them separate from other things. The straps are somewhat long but once you fill the bag up it turns out they are a perfect length. The material washes easily so the odd mess isn't a problem. Reasonably sturdy material too. Nothing I'd want to change.My husband and I rarely get away but when we do we travel pretty light even on long trips. We have the the rolling bag for longer trips or places where we will be carrying the luggage long distances like an airport. This bag is great for overnight trips to a hotel or even spending weekends at my in-laws. The bag is soft sided which is great because you can stuff in as much as you want and not have to worry about the shape of the bag. The handles are very soft and comfortable to wear on your shoulders for a while. They are on the thinner side, not like backpack straps or anything, so after a long distance might start digging into your shoulder. This would really only happen if you weigh down the bag heavily. The zipper moves easily, even when you stuff it full.The bag itself is very soft from the quilting and the sewing on it is exactly the quality you would imagine from Vera Bradley. The fabric itself is durable and doesn't snag when it rubs against something. It is thicker than I thought it would be. That is a great feature in luggage or anything else you plan on carrying a great amount in. The fabric wipes off easily. Overall I got exactly what I was expecting from this bag and from Vera Bradley in general. Great company great item.This is a really nice duffle, one that an adult isn't embarassed to carry. The design is complete -- two sturdy handles with a shoulder strap. The top is designed that the bag will stay open when you are loading or unloading it. The outside has two open pockets (one on either side) and the front has both an open pocket and a zipped pocket. The inside has three netted pockets on one side. I am not normally a fan of netted pockets as they tend to catch and snag and I see this as the only short coming for this bag.Construction is sturdy and I was unable to find any manufacturing flaws. The stitching on seams and the quilting is complete and straight, I couldn't find anything mis sewn. The zippers work smoothly and without catching. This is a duffle for a working woman!The medium bag is one I can use for long weekends, 3-4 day trips, that sort of thing. I use packing cubes, so I manage to fit a lot into those to begin with, but this will hold 3-4 days of regular travel clothes (business trips are another story depending on dress code), a couple pairs of shoes, my toiletry bag, and a sweater or two.This Vera Bradley Microfiber Medium Travel Duffle Bag is an elegant, workhorse of a bag and I know I will reach for it time and time again.This is a soft side, unstructured, duffle bag. It's made of a quilted, microfiber, fabric that makes it fairly think. The quilting is a tiny, all over, diamond shape. It has two, fairly long, channel quilted, carry straps and a detachable shoulder strap is also included. It has a zip closure on the top of the bag. There is one, front, pocket with zip closure and another open pocket behind that. There is a large open pocket on either end of the outside of the bag.Inside is a single, large compartment with three, mesh pockets on one side.The bag is completely lined in a black and white, print, fabric. There is silvertone hardware. Although it is an unstructured bag, there is internal reinforcement in the bottom of the bag so it will hold contents well without bending in the middle.Like all Vera Bradley items, it's well made with attention to detail. The black quilted fabric is so elegant and has the advantage of not showing travel dirt. It is lightweight and the perfect size for an overnight trip or maybe even a weekend if you don't travel heavy. The black exterior is classic and sophisticated. One cannot see the floral coordinating interior fabric unless you open the bag, so it's somewhat gender neutral and could be used by anyone. The zippers are top notch and glide with ease, the entire bag is constructed beautifully. It comes with a removable shoulder strap that is solid black. I like the interior mesh pockets for keeping my stuff organized.This bag is just lovely, I can't say anything bad about it. The price point is high, but you get what you pay for.Like just about every VB fan out there I love the prints, colors, and how pretty these products are. They are gorgeous but sometimes don't match a look or occasion. Enter these microfiber bags in a sophisticated black that will go with everything but with a gorgeous signature VB print on the inside!!This bag is nice in that it easily collapses for storage but does have a rigid bottom to keep its shape. It's the perfect bag for carry-on with lots of little pockets on the side for essentials. Easily wipes clean on the outside. I do wish it had a sleeve for electronics but most of us have a separate sleeve for those.I've ordered more items from this colorway because I love it so much.5 stars!5 stars!
